Once Again Sanjaya Malakar eludes the wrath of being voted off American Idol. The 17 year talent? has been the butt of jokes and considerably the worst singer in the competition.
What makes him so popular?
Well Sanjaya has the backing of a grass roots campaign website called vote for the worst, and the support of Howard Stern listeners to boot, or in this case to keep him from the boot.
The buringin question of most American Idol fans minds are when can we see and actually hear the last of Sanjaya?
Only the votes and the American Idol producers can answer that question.

The Amazing Race is a rarity among reality shows — a recipient of three Emmys for Best Reality/Competition primetime program. Heralded as a family program that actually teaches concepts of teamwork as well as gives the best geography lesson on television, The Amazing Race has been on air with CBS since 2001. The show recently finished its ninth season, and partially produced by Touchstone Television, giving it partial affinity with Disney.
Â
The show is similar to Survivor in the way that people work together to survive in situations that range from extreme physical stunts and tests of endurance to coping with small food and supply rations. The teams are made up of individuals with prior “real world†relationships — including married and dating heterosexual couples, homosexual couples, family units, and friends. During most shows, the minimum age is 21; however one season allowed members as young as 8. Each team is given a finite amount of money and a checkpoint at which all teams need to meet up at their individual accord. The last team to arrive at the destination is eliminated. The race always starts in the US, but sends teams on a scavenger hunt of sorts that winds through remote locations around the globe. Language barriers, weather threats, direction challenges, and dwindling funds threaten to weaken teams and throw off their timing, causing progressive eliminations.
At the end of each leg of the race, there is a mandatory pit stop at which all teams stop to eat, rest and socialize. Most interviews are filmed at this time. In some legs, the first team to arrive wins a vacation or some other prize such as equipment. The last to arrive is eliminated from the duration of the race.
Three teams compete on the final leg of the race and battle to earn clues and complete various tasks that bring them closer to the final finish line. The first team to reach the finish wins a million dollars. All other previously eliminated teams gather at the finish line and each receives an amount of money ranging from $25,000 to $1500.00.

Last night marked the end of the new season. And even though we kind of stopped keeping up with the show after both women from Texas were given the proverbial boot, we had to watch the season finale to see who the Prince chose to be his Princess. Our money was on Sadie, and it had been since the beginning. (Though we realized last night that the name “Sadie Borghese†sounds ridiculous.)
Before the big decision, each girl got a final date. For Lorenzo and Sadie’s last hurrah, they went sailing. He talked about how great Sadie made him feel. They sucked a little face. They had dinner. She gave him a scrap book she made of the trip — never a good thing for a man, girls — and then read some letter she wrote to herself about what she wants in a guy. Lorenzo called their last date “incredible.”
Then it was Jen’s turn. For their date, they went horseback riding and then grilled out. They talked about Jen moving to New York. (Lorenzo so didn’t ask Virgin Sadie about that one.) Then Jen sorta laid it on the line and said she really wanted to be with him. They also talked about their one on one date in which they made wishes by a fountain. When the wish came true, you were allowed to reveal what it was. Jen told Lorenzo her three wishes; he told her two and said that one hasn’t come true… yet. They smooch a bunch. Lorenzo called the date “wonderful” and he said Jen blew him away.
When you get to the end of the 2-hour finale, Lorenzo finally makes his choice. Limo 1 pulls up, and Sadie gets out. So far, there’s only been one season where the chosen girl arrived in the first limo. Unfortunately for Sadie, it wasn’t this one. Lorenzo was very sweet. . . until he got to the end of his speech. That’s when he said that there is another woman in the competition, and that he would rather be with her! We understand that this is the point in the show when he has to break someone’s heart into a million pieces, but crap that was harsh! Then, he cried. And she cried. And then he put her back into Limo 1 and sent her virginal self away.
Finally, Limo 2 arrives. Jen steps out, looking completely and totally awkward. Which works, since Lorenzo looked fairly awkward throughout the season. He tells her he loves her and gives her a ring and tells her they need to be a couple outside of Rome before he can propose. (And maybe he should try to win over her dad since the gun-toting football coach doesn’t seem to be a huge fan of Lorenzo or the premise of the show.) Then they get all schmoopy-kissy, and the credits roll.
